Helpful Hints for Sessions at the Café
Book to join
Please book to join us & definitely come when you booked. We reserve tables for our booked participants and print the menu of creative writing prompts. This is also especially important during our current COVID times.
Arrive on time
We aim to run our session on time and allow a few minutes at the beginning to welcome participants and answer any questions.
Come with an appetite
Writing in good company in some of Vienna’s best cafe’s is an enriching experience. The cafés welcome us with friendly waiters ready to take orders. Come for breakfast, or at the very least, please do order a drink. You are responsible for paying your own bill.
Bring something to write with
Pen and notebook or laptop – whatever you prefer. We provide the prompts, you get to do the writing!
Share your writing if you'd like to
At the end of each writing session, we invite people to briefly real aloud and share some of their writing from the session. We don’t criticise or judge because we all know it’s literally only just been written. But people enjoy hearing which prompt inspired their new writing.
Feel free to hang around after the session
Although our sessions end before 11:30am, writers are more than welcome to stay on to chat, order another coffee or even continue writing. One of the most rewarding aspects of Sunday Writers’ Club are the friendships made.
